Improve your skills on Guitar, Drums, Vocals and Bass
Prepare to plug in and rock out...
Following the amazing success of the now legendary ‘Rocked Out’ courses, ‘Rocked Out 4’ promises to rock even harder and louder than the first three. Due to popular demand, an extra day has been added; ‘Rocked Out 4’ is a five day course which has been designed specifically to improve the live performance of young musicians, giving them the opportunity to play in a professional band situation whilst learning under the guidance of a collection of this country’s leading musicians and tutors. These vastly experienced musicians include members of ‘A’/The Bloodhound Gang, Graham Coxon/Charlotte Hatherley’s band, Reuben and Archie and the Instincts. The class will build students’ confidence with regard to musicianship (including theory and harmony) and improve their performance skills in terms of stage presence, timing, energy, accuracy, passion, attitude etc.
‘Rocked Out 4’ provides an invaluable stepping-stone between college and university for young aspiring musicians, and bridges the gap between rehearsals and shows for bands looking to move forward in the music industry.
"An amazing experience! Rocked Out builds confidence and skills, providing a wicked opportunity to learn and rock out in a friendly and professional environment." read more...

If you’re already in a band, the course will help you to play tight with a click and to think about performance styles, crowd interaction and manipulation, delivery, beginnings, ends, instrument sounds, ‘feels’ of specific tracks, and nuances of parts etc. in addition to helping you to realise the full potential of your own original material. If you’re not currently in a band, but are looking to start one, this will be an ideal place for you to meet like-minded musicians of a similar age and standard.
The songs studied will be suitable for bass, drums, guitar and vocals (male and female) and will be tracks that you’re already are familiar with. This way you’ll know how the song should sound and can therefore more efficiently retain the structure, ‘feel’ and lyrical content.
You will be required to learn new material from simple written music (charts and bars, and tab), thus honing your ability to pick up and retain new songs quickly – an essential skill that is synonymous with writing and playing in a successful rock band.
N.B: STUDENTS WISHING TO BOOK A PLACE ON THE COURSE WILL NEED TO HAVE A SOLID UNDERSTANDING OF THE BASIC TECHNIQUES AND SKILLS REQUIRED TO COMPETENTLY PLAY THEIR INSTRUMENT (see questionnaire at www.rocked-out.co.uk)
- All guitarists and bassists need to bring their own instruments ideally with new and spare strings.
- All drummers need to bring their own sticks.
- Amps, drum kits and pads, mics, monitors, P.A. etc. will be provided.
